About this product
The SONOFF TH16 does something none of the other modules here do: it switches on temperature and humidity.

It switches on temperature, not just on a clock
This is the one thing no other module in this category does. Plug a probe into the socket on the bottom and the SONOFF TH16 becomes a thermostat.
A greenhouse fan that comes on at 32 degrees. A dehumidifier in a store room that runs when the air passes a threshold. A brooder lamp that holds a temperature without anybody watching it. You set the rule in the app; the module keeps it running.
The probe is what makes it that, and we will check the box
We cannot see a probe in the photograph of our stock.
Without one it is an ordinary Wi-Fi switch and the temperature feature does nothing. Ask us before you order and we will open the carton and tell you whether a probe is in it or needs adding. This is the difference between the product doing the job you bought it for and not.
What the label actually says
The unit's own label reads 15A in and 15A out at 100 to 240V, and that is what we publish, rather than the 16A the model name suggests.
We would rather quote the printed figure than the marketing one. If you are sizing this against a specific load, use 15A and leave headroom.
How it goes in, and where it must not
It is an in-line module: the cable feeding the appliance is cut and wired through it, and an electrician should do that.
The terminals carry mains and the box is not sealed, so it belongs indoors, dry and out of reach, even when the appliance it controls lives outside. A greenhouse module in the greenhouse is a mistake; put it in the dry and run the flex out.
SONOFF TH16 modes and app
Manual, schedule, countdown, and automatic on temperature or humidity. That last mode is the whole reason to choose this over the plain 10A module.
It runs eWeLink with no hub and no subscription, and works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. If you do not need the sensor and 10A is enough, the SONOFF BASIC does the switching for less. The TH series is documented at sonoff.tech.

Questions
Does it come with the temperature probe?
We are not going to say yes until we have looked. The photograph of our stock does not show one, and the module is only a thermostat with a probe plugged in. Ask us and we will open the carton on the shelf and tell you.
The title says 16 amps. Which is right?
The label on the unit itself says 15 A in and 15 A out, so that is what this page publishes. Give your electrician the 15 A figure.
What can I actually automate with it?
Anything that should follow a temperature or a humidity rather than a clock: a greenhouse fan, a dehumidifier in a store room, a heat lamp in a brooder, an extractor in a bathroom. You set the threshold in the app and it holds it.
Can it go outside?
No. There is no weather rating and the terminals are live. If the fan or the lamp is outside, this module still goes indoors and dry.
