The Shelly Pro 1PM installs directly inside your electrical distribution board on standard DIN rail. Designed for breaker box installation, it handles single-phase loads up to 16 A with integrated power measurement, local automations, and multiple connectivity options.
Reliable Connectivity in the Distribution Board
Metal consumer units can block wireless signals. The Shelly Pro 1PM includes an RJ45 Ethernet port alongside 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2, allowing for a dependable wired network link when installed in shielded panels. It operates standalone on a local network using its built-in web interface, with optional Shelly Cloud integration.
Energy Monitoring and Circuit Protection
Integrated AC voltage and current metering tracks active power and cumulative energy consumption. Built-in safety mechanisms include internal temperature sensing, overpower, overcurrent, and overvoltage protection. Inductive loads like air conditioners, refrigerators, and fans require an RC snubber.
Wiring and Control Requirements
Installation requires a certified electrician. The unit operates on 110 to 240 V AC and requires a neutral wire. It features two switch inputs (SW1 and SW2) to retain physical wall switch operation, alongside smart control via Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, MQTT, and local mjS scripting.

Does the Shelly Pro 1PM require a neutral wire?
Yes. Both live (L) and neutral (N) connections are required to power the unit.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. The unit features an embedded web server, MQTT, and mjS scripting, allowing complete control and automation over a local network or via its Ethernet port without cloud access.
Can I use it to switch DC power?
No. The Shelly Pro 1PM v.1 operates solely on 110 to 240 V AC and does not support DC power supplies or DC switching.
Can I keep my existing wall switches?
Yes. It provides two switch terminals (SW1 and SW2), allowing external physical switches or buttons to operate the circuit alongside automated controls.
Can this switch inductive loads like pumps or air conditioners?
Yes, but the manufacturer specifies that inductive loads such as fans, refrigerators, motors, and air conditioners require an external RC snubber.
