It reads a finger in 0.3 seconds and holds 120 fingerprints, which is more than most houses will ever need and enough for a small office. Four ways in: fingerprint, a dynamic password, the Tuya app over Bluetooth and a mechanical key. The body is zinc alloy with a C-grade cylinder, and it warns you before the batteries go flat.

It suits wooden and steel doors 35 to 55 mm thick and works on left or right hand doors. The handle set measures 147 x 68 x 68 mm. It ships with a single latch bolt adjustable between 60 and 70 mm; dual latch mortises in 5572, 6072, 4585 and 6085 can be ordered.

Two things to plan for. The lock is Bluetooth, so your phone has to be near the door unless you add the Tuya Bluetooth Hub, which we sell separately. And the batteries are not included. If you want a slightly larger rose handle with an 11-key touchscreen and 300 users, look at the S604L.

On an interior door, or a front door where a full length panel would look heavy, that is the whole reason to choose this shape over a mortise handle lock.
