About this product
A Z-Wave water leak detector that sits on the floor. The contacts underneath close the moment water reaches them and the hub is told at once, which is the difference between a wet corner and a ruined room.
It reports more than water. A temperature sensor reads from -20 to +100 degrees, and an accelerometer raises an alarm if the sensor is moved or tilted, so you know if it has been picked up or kicked aside.
Where the water will show up somewhere the sensor cannot sit, the contacts can be extended on a wire and the body left dry and visible. There is also a relay output on the terminals, so the same sensor can be wired into a conventional alarm panel as well as reporting over Z-Wave.
It runs on a CR123A battery, up to two and a half years, or on 12 to 24 V DC where there is power to hand. A Z-Wave hub is required.

Questions
Do I need a hub?
Yes. It speaks Z-Wave only.
Where should it go?
On the floor at the lowest point near whatever can leak: under the sink, beside the washing machine, at the water heater, in the plant room.
Can it shut the water off?
Not on its own. The hub can, if you also fit a motorised valve. Ask us what we have.
What if the water appears somewhere the sensor will not fit?
The contacts extend on a wire. The probe goes in the tight spot and the sensor body sits somewhere dry where you can see the LED.
Can it drive my old alarm panel?
Yes. It has a relay output rated 40 V and 25 mA maximum, so it can close a zone on a conventional panel at the same time as reporting to the hub.
Anything else? Ask us on WhatsApp and we will tell you straight.
