About this product
No app, no hub, no Wi-Fi. A standalone door alarm that works entirely on its own. Two parts stick on, one on the door and one on the frame. Open the door while it is switched on and it sounds, right there at the door.

What a standalone door alarm is good at
Being used. There is no app to install, no account to make, no hub to buy and no network to join, so the person who actually opens and closes the store room can arm it and disarm it without being taught anything or given a password. Half the security equipment in the world sits unused because only one person in the building understands it. A slide switch does not have that problem.
Noise at the door, not a notification on a phone
These are two different jobs and it is worth being clear which one you are buying. A connected sensor gives you a record and a message, wherever you are, and does nothing at the door. This gives you a noise at the door and no record at all. For a cupboard where the tools live, a back gate, a container or a shop after hours, the noise is the point: somebody is standing there and now everybody knows.
It moves when you do
Adhesive pads, so no drilling, no screws and nothing left behind. Take it off one door and put it on another. That suits rented premises, a container that moves, or a house where the room you worry about changes with the season. It runs on batteries, so it also keeps working through a power cut, which is when a store room is most worth watching.
What it will not do
It will not tell you anything. No phone alert, no history, no arming from your desk, no integration with anything else. If any of those matter, this is the wrong product and we would rather say so than sell it to you and have it disappoint.
The alternatives, if you want to be told
The WiFi door sensor needs no hub either and sends the alert to your phone with a history in the app. The Zigbee door sensor is the better choice once you are fitting several, though it needs a gateway. Some people fit both on the same door: noise from this, notification from the other.
It fits doors, windows, cupboards, gates and containers, and comes as a sensor body plus a magnet. Wikipedia has a plain overview of how burglar alarms work if you want the background.

Questions
Does it need Wi-Fi or a hub?
No. It is completely stand alone. Stick it on, switch it on, done.
Will it tell my phone?
No. It makes a noise at the door. If you want a phone alert, our Wi-Fi and Zigbee door sensors do that instead.
How is it fitted?
Adhesive pads on both halves. Sensor on the frame, magnet on the door, lined up beside each other and close together.
Can I use it on a gate or a container?
Yes, anywhere the two halves can sit close together on a door and its frame. Keep it out of direct rain.
How do I stop it sounding?
Close the door, or slide the switch to off.
