About this product
The X-Sense remote is the handset for a set of interlinked X-Sense alarms. It tests them all and it silences them all, from the floor, without a ladder or a broom handle.

What the X-Sense remote is actually for
Testing and silencing a whole group of interlinked alarms from where you are standing. That sounds like a convenience and turns into a safety feature, because the alarm nobody can reach is the alarm nobody tests, and the alarm that goes off over a hot kitchen while you hunt for a ladder is the alarm that ends up taken down. Once detectors are on a three metre ceiling this handset is the difference between a system that gets maintained and one that gets disabled.
Finding the source is the clever part
Press once and every alarm in the group goes quiet except the one that actually detected the smoke. So instead of standing in a corridor with five alarms screaming and no idea which room to go to, you walk straight at the only one still sounding. Press again and that one silences too. In a real incident that is thirty seconds you do not spend guessing.
Pairing is the same button
Hold the handset near an alarm, press, and it joins the group. There is nothing to configure, no app and no account. Adding an alarm later is the same operation.
Which alarms it works with
The X-Sense Link+ range: XS01-WR, SD19-W, SD20-W, XC01-WR, CO03D-W, SC06-W and SC07-W. Check your model against that list before ordering, because a handset paired to nothing is a handset. The battery is a replaceable lithium cell and X-Sense quote about a year of use, with a two year warranty on the handset.
What it goes with
The alarm we stock from that list is the X-Sense XS01-WR interlinked smoke alarm, and this handset is the natural companion to a set of three or four of them.
Note that it works with the radio interlinked alarms, not with the WiFi version, which is silenced from its own app instead. X-Sense own site is x-sense.com.

Questions
Which alarms does it work with?
The X-Sense Link+ series: XS01-WR, SD19-W, SD20-W, XC01-WR, CO03D-W, SC06-W and SC07-W. It does not work with the Wi-Fi smoke alarm.
Do I need one?
If your alarms are on a high ceiling, yes. Testing a smoke alarm every month is a lot easier when you are not on a chair.
How do I pair it?
Press the test and silence button near the alarm. Same button for everything.
How does it tell me which alarm found the smoke?
It silences all the others. The one still sounding is the one that detected it.
Is the battery replaceable?
Yes. X-Sense quote about a year of continuous use on one.
Anything else? Ask us on WhatsApp and we will tell you straight.
