Indoor Z-Wave Siren and Strobe
The Aeotec Siren 6 (ZW164) is an indoor acoustic and visual alert device designed for Z-Wave smart home systems. Operating alongside connected Z-Wave sensors, it sounds an audible alarm and flashes a strobe light when triggered by specific security and safety events, such as an open door, smoke detection, or water leaks.
Audible Alerts and Visual Signals
With volume reaching up to 105 dB at 5 cm and support for configurable tones, the siren ensures notifications are heard throughout the building. The integrated strobe light provides an immediate visual signal, making alerts noticeable even in loud surroundings.
Built-in Power Backup and Sensors
The siren is powered through a mains adapter and includes an integrated, rechargeable backup battery that delivers up to 4 hours of operating time during electrical cuts. A built-in vibration sensor alerts the system if the device is tampered with or removed from its position.
Doorbell and Chime Mode
In addition to security alarm duties, the unit functions as an indoor chime. It supports pairing with up to three compatible buttons (sold separately), allowing you to assign distinct tones for visitor chimes that differ from emergency alarm alerts.
System Requirements
The Siren 6 requires a compatible Z-Wave gateway or hub to manage rules, configure tones, and receive sensor triggers. It offers an operating range of up to 30 meters indoors and 150 meters outdoors.
