How do I pay?
- Cash on delivery — Dar es Salaam only. Pay the rider when it reaches you. Outside Dar es Salaam we ask for payment before we send it.

About this product
A Zigbee smoke detector that tells your phone as well as the room. The alarm sounds at 85 dB or more where it is fitted, and at the same moment a notification goes out, so a fire that starts while the house is empty is not discovered by the neighbours.
The sensor is photoelectric, the type that responds to slow smouldering fires rather than only to flame. It monitors about 3 metres in front of it.
Being on the same app as the rest of the house, it can act as well as alert. Smoke can switch a plug off, turn lights on along the way out, or set a siren going in another room.
Zigbee draws very little power, so the battery lasts, and low voltage is reported before it dies. A Zigbee hub is required and is not included.

Questions
Do I need a hub?
Yes. This is a Zigbee device and a Zigbee hub has to be on site. If you want a smoke alarm that goes straight onto Wi-Fi with no hub, look at the X-Sense Wi-Fi alarm.
Will it sound if the internet is down?
Yes. The alarm is local. Only the phone notification needs the connection.
Where should it go?
On the ceiling, near the middle of the room, away from the stove and away from bathroom steam.
Can it turn things on when it detects smoke?
Yes, through the app. A plug switched off, lights on along the escape route, a siren in another room.
How will I know the battery is low?
It reports low voltage in the app, so you are told rather than finding out from the chirping at three in the morning.
