Mounting - Wyze Pan (Chinese)

A solid metal Wyze Cam Pan bracket. The Pan is taller and heavier than the standard Wyze Cam and it moves, so the bracket holding it has to be steady. This one has a 6.9 cm base, which is wide enough that the camera does not rock when it swings across the room.

Why a Wyze Cam Pan bracket has to be heavier

Because the camera moves. A Pan is taller and heavier than a standard Wyze Cam to begin with, and then it swings across the room under its own motor. A light bracket lets that momentum rock the whole assembly, which shows up as a picture that wobbles at the end of every sweep. The 6.9 cm base here is wide enough that it does not, and metal construction is why it stays that way rather than loosening over months.

This bracket is for the Wyze Cam Pan only. It will not take the Wyze Cam or the Wyze Cam v2, which use a different arrangement entirely. Ordering the wrong one of these two is the commonest mistake in this part of the shop, so check which camera you actually have before you buy.

It fits far more than Wyze cameras

The mounting interface is the standard camera thread, so it also takes Arlo cameras, AngelCare baby monitors and ordinary CCTV cameras with the same fitting. If you have a mixture of makes around a house, this is the bracket that will still be useful when a camera is replaced with a different brand.

Mark the holes last

The head swivels 360 degrees and tilts through 90. Set the angle you want first, hold the bracket up and check the view, and only then mark the screw positions. It is metal and ABS and resists oxidation, so under cover outdoors is fine as well as indoors.

Which camera, which bracket

This is the Pan bracket. For a standard Wyze Cam body, the mount with a weather cover is the one, and the official Wyze part for the Pan is the Pan mounting kit with its magnetic base and cable.

The camera is not included and this is a third party bracket rather than a Wyze one. To get the camera away from a socket, add the 26 ft power cable. Wyze document their range at wyze.com.
