On the Danalock LINCE cylinder, the security card is the part that matters
Copies of these keys are only cut on presentation of the card that comes with the cylinder. So somebody who borrows a key, or finds one, cannot walk into any key cutter and come out with a spare. That is a meaningful difference from an ordinary cylinder, whose keys can be copied by anyone holding one. Keep the card somewhere safe and, importantly, not on the same ring as the keys.
Fit the cylinder first, then the Danalock
Order of work matters here. The cylinder goes into the door and is checked working with the keys before the smart lock is mounted on the inside. Doing it the other way round means taking the Danalock off again when the cylinder needs adjusting, which it often does on an older door.
The door still works as a door
Five stainless steel pins, five physical keys supplied, and from outside it opens with a key like any normal cylinder whether or not the smart lock is fitted, powered or paired. That is the reassurance worth having before putting a motor on a front door: if the batteries die, the phone is flat or the hub is down, the key still works.
Euro profile
This is the Euro profile format, which is what the Danalock is built around. Everything needed to install the cylinder is included. Measure the existing cylinder before ordering, because Euro cylinders come in different lengths and the length has to match the door thickness.
What it goes with
The Danalock V3, which mounts on the inside of the door and turns this cylinder. Add the Danabridge V3 to reach it from outside the house, or the Danapad for a code at the door.
Tell us the thickness of your door and how the existing cylinder measures and we will confirm the length before you order. Wikipedia describes the Euro cylinder standard and how the sizes are quoted.

Questions
Do I need this to use a Danalock?
The Danalock mounts onto a Euro profile cylinder. If your door does not already have one that suits, this is the cylinder to fit.
What is the security card for?
It is proof of ownership. A key cutter will only cut copies of these keys if the card is presented, so keep it separate from the keys.
Can I still use a key from outside?
Yes. It is a normal cylinder from the outside, with or without the smart lock fitted inside.
What is in the box?
The cylinder, five keys, the security card, and the fixing accessories for installation.
Will it fit my door?
It is Euro profile, which is the common standard on modern doors. Measure the two halves of your existing cylinder from the centre screw before ordering.
