Three dry contacts, and why that matters
The outputs on a Shelly Pro 3 are dry contacts: they close a circuit rather than carrying the load down it.
That is what makes a three channel module worth more than three separate switches. A boiler, a gate motor and an irrigation valve all expect a switch closure on their own control circuit, and all three can sit on this one device in the board. A relay that only outputs mains cannot do any of them.
Wired ethernet into a metal board
A steel consumer unit blocks Wi-Fi, and a relay that drops off the network is worse than no relay.
This has an RJ45 socket, so it can be cabled to the router. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are there as well if a cable is impractical, but on a three circuit device controlling a gate and a boiler, the cable is the right answer.
Read this: there is no metering
The Pro 3 does not measure consumption on any channel. It switches only.
If seeing what a circuit draws is part of why you are buying, this is the wrong model. The Pro 4PM meters every one of its four channels, and the Pro 1PM meters its single one. Both cost more, and on a gate motor the metering is genuinely no use, which is why this model exists.
Existing switches still work
Each channel can be driven by a wall switch as well as by the app, so nothing changes for anybody in the house who never opens a phone.
Schedules run on the device. No hub, no account, and a local web interface and API, so it keeps working with the internet down.
Shelly Pro 3 load ratings and installation
16A per channel and 48A across the three, switching up to 240V AC or 30V DC. Supply is 110 to 240V AC and it draws under 3W.
It is 96 x 53 x 59mm on DIN rail and an electrician installs it in the distribution board. If a single circuit is all you need and it is behind a light switch rather than at the board, the in-wall Plus 1 also has a dry contact output and costs far less. The Pro range is at shelly.com.

Questions
Does it measure power?
No. The Pro 3 switches only. If you need consumption figures, the Pro 4PM meters all four of its channels and the Pro 1PM meters its one.
What is a dry contact useful for here?
Each relay closes a bare pair of terminals rather than carrying mains, so one device can drive a boiler's control circuit, a gate motor and an irrigation valve together. Tell us what the three circuits are and we will confirm it suits.
Can I really pull 48 A through it?
That is the published total across three channels, but your board, cable and breakers decide what is safe in your house. Give the figure to your electrician rather than planning around it yourself.
Why the network socket?
Because a metal consumer unit is one of the worst places in a house for Wi-Fi. A cable to the router removes the problem. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth still work if a cable is not practical.
