A motorised euro cylinder. Where the plain fingerprint cylinders only release the barrel so you can turn the handle, this one has a motor in it and drives the bolt itself. Present a finger and the door unlocks, no turning.

It goes in the door you already have. The cylinder comes out, this goes in, one screw, no drilling and no damage. Fitting is five to ten minutes and needs no special tools, which is what makes it the sensible answer for a rented flat or an office you do not own.

Two ways in: fingerprint or the mechanical key. Access is managed in the app, where you create digital keys for other people and decide whether each one is permanent or temporary. Data is protected with AES 256.

A motorised euro cylinder does the work: present a finger and the motor drives the bolt back, so the door is simply unlocked. Nothing to turn, which matters if your hands are full or the person at the door has limited grip.

That is the whole difference, and it is the reason to pay more for this than for a release-only cylinder.

The existing cylinder comes out and the motorised euro cylinder goes in. One screw, no drilling, no damage, and five to ten minutes with no special tools. Nothing about the handle or the mortise changes, so it suits a rented flat or an office you do not own, and it comes back out leaving the door as you found it.
