- Twin turbines at 2 x 4,000 Pa
- No-mop zones, not just no-go zones
- Three hours, and quieter than most
- Where it sits against the other two
What the eufy X8 Pro self-empty station changes
Every other robot here needs its bin emptied by hand every run or two. On a dusty Dar floor that is a small chore attached to a machine bought to remove chores.
The eufy X8 Pro self-empty station takes that away. The robot cleans, returns to the tower, and the tower sucks the bin out into a sealed 2.5 litre bag that eufy rate at up to 45 days. You touch dust roughly once a month, and the bag is sealed when you remove it rather than tipping a cloud back into the room.
Twin turbines at 2 x 4,000 Pa
Two suction motors running side by side rather than one, which is what gets ground-in grit out of a rug instead of skimming the top of it.
The brush is built to cut tangles as it goes, which is the difference between a robot you empty and a robot you have to unwind hair from with scissors every fortnight. In a house with long hair or a dog, that is the feature that decides whether the machine keeps getting used.
No-mop zones, not just no-go zones
Most robots let you draw an area to keep out of. This one lets you draw an area to keep the wet pad out of, separately.
That is what you want when there is a rug in the middle of a tiled room: the robot vacuums the rug, then avoids it once the mop is attached. Without that distinction you are choosing between never mopping the tiles and soaking the rug.
Three hours, and quieter than most
180 minutes of runtime from a 5,200 mAh battery, which covers a large ground floor in one pass with recharge and resume for anything bigger.
It runs below 58dB, which is quieter than most robots managing half the suction. That matters if it is going to run during the day in a house where somebody is working.
Where it sits against the other two
This is the top of the range and the only one that empties itself. The station is 650W rated and the whole thing runs the eufy Clean app with Alexa and Google, no subscription.
If the tower is more than you need, the RoboVac X8 Hybrid is the same twin-turbine idea without it. If you want the cheapest robot here that still has real laser navigation, that is the L60 Hybrid. eufy publish the range at eufy.com. One note: eufy publish both 19 and 20mm for the climbing height, and we record both.

Questions
How often do I actually touch it?
eufy rate the 2.5 litre bag at up to 45 days. After each clean the robot returns to the tower and empties itself, so in normal use you change a bag about once a month and do nothing else.
Does it mop too?
Yes. A mopping module with a 270 ml tank clips on, and the app lets you set no-mop zones so it will never take a wet pad onto a rug or a wooden floor you want left alone.
What happens when the bag is full?
The app tells you and you pull the bag out and drop in a new one. The bag seals as it comes out, so the dust does not go back into the room. Ask us for spare bags.
Why is it quieter than a weaker robot?
The twin turbine design moves more air at lower fan speed. It runs below 58 dB even though it is the strongest robot we sell. The tower is loud for the few seconds it empties, and that is it.
How is this different from the X8 Hybrid?
More suction, 2 x 4,000 Pa against 2 x 2,000, and the self-emptying tower. Everything else, the laser mapping, the app and the mopping, works the same way.
