The WeeKett smart kettle has buttons on the base
Four presets sit on the base itself: 70, 80, 90 and 100 degrees, plus keep warm.
That is what makes a WeeKett smart kettle usable by everyone in the house rather than only by whoever set it up. A house guest, a child or somebody helping in the kitchen can boil water without an app, an account or a phone. Smart kettles that only work through one person's phone quietly stop being used.
Finer control in the app
In the app the range opens up to anything from 40 to 100 degrees in one degree steps, well below what the base presets offer.
Forty degrees is not a tea temperature; it is for things like dissolving something without cooking it. The useful daily range is 70 for delicate green tea through to the full boil, and the presets already cover that.
The baby milk programme, done properly
It boils to 100, cools to 70, and then holds it.
That order matters. Boiling first sterilises the water; holding at 70 afterwards is what formula actually needs. A kettle that simply heats to 70 has skipped the sterilising step, and this one does not.
Keep warm, capacity and safety
Keep warm holds for up to an hour. The kettle is 1.7 litres with a minimum boil of 500ml, in brushed stainless with a water window so you can see the level without lifting the lid.
Boil-dry protection means it cannot run itself empty, which on a kettle that can be started remotely from another room is not a luxury feature.
One power figure published two ways
Retailers and the manual publish 2200W, while WeeKett publish 3000W. We record both rather than quoting the faster number. Either way it is a standard domestic kettle load, but if you are calculating against a generator or an inverter, use the higher figure.
It joins 2.4GHz Wi-Fi with no hub and runs in the Smart Life app, which is the same app as the rest of the Tuya kit in this shop, with Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri Shortcuts. If you want the widest temperature range and a starts-when-you-get-home trigger instead, that is the Smarter iKettle. The Smart Life app is on Google Play.

Can someone use it without the app?
Yes, and that is the point of the buttons on the base. 70, 80, 90, 100 and keep warm are all there for anyone who just wants tea. The app adds the in-between temperatures and the schedules.
What does the baby milk programme do?
It boils the water to 100 so it is sterilised, brings it down to 70, and holds it there. That is the sequence formula needs, and it saves standing over a kettle at night.
Do I need a hub?
No. It joins your Wi-Fi on the 2.4 GHz band and appears in Smart Life with the rest of your devices.
How powerful is it?
WeeKett publish 3000 W on their own site while the manual and the retailers publish 2200 W. We print both rather than pick one. Either way it is a fast kettle.
How is it different from the Smarter iKettle we also sell?
This one has the presets on the base and lives in Smart Life with your other devices. The Smarter goes down to 20 degrees, has a mode that starts when your phone reaches the house, and uses its own app.
