About this product
eufy's deadbolt, and the one lock here with a proper brand behind it: an app that is not a white label, a company that publishes its own manual, and a frame of zinc alloy and stainless steel tested to 250,000 cycles.
- How the eufy fingerprint deadbolt reads a finger
- No bridge, no hub
- Measure your door before ordering this deadbolt
- Deadbolt, not mortise
Your finger is the key. It reads in 0.3 seconds and the door is open inside a second. It holds 50 fingerprints and 100 access codes of four to eight characters, and there is a keypad and a mechanical key as well. Wi-Fi is built into the lock, so there is no bridge and no HomeBase to buy, and it works with Alexa and Google Assistant.
A sensor knows when the door has shut and locks it behind you, which is the feature that actually changes behaviour: nobody has to remember. The outside is rated IP65, so rain is not a problem.
Check the door before you order. This is a deadbolt, the American style fitting, not a European mortise. It needs a door 35 to 55 mm thick with a 60 or 70 mm backset and a round bore. If your door has a euro cylinder instead, look at the fingerprint cylinder or one of the mortise locks. The battery is a 10,000 mAh rechargeable pack, charged by micro USB, rated by eufy at about a year at ten openings a day.
How the eufy fingerprint deadbolt reads a finger
The reader sits on the outside face and takes 0.3 seconds to recognise a print, with the bolt clear about a second later. It holds 50 fingerprints, which is more than a household needs and enough for a small office, and 100 access codes of four to eight characters for anyone you would rather not enrol.
A door closed sensor drives the auto-lock. That is the feature that changes behaviour rather than adding a gadget, because nobody has to remember anything: the door shuts and locks itself behind whoever left last.
No bridge, no hub
Wi-Fi on 2.4 GHz is built into the lock, along with Bluetooth 5.0, so there is no HomeBase and no separate bridge to buy. It runs in the eufy Security app and answers to Alexa and Google Assistant. Security is an ECC chip with AES 128, and the outside assembly is rated IP65 against rain.
The body is zinc alloy and stainless steel, tested by eufy to 250,000 cycles.
Measure your door before ordering this deadbolt
This is the American style deadbolt fitting, not a European mortise, and that is the one thing to settle before you buy. It needs a door 35 to 55 mm thick, a backset of 60 or 70 mm, and a round cross bore of 54 or 38 mm. If your door carries a euro cylinder instead, a fingerprint cylinder or one of the mortise locks is the right shape and we will point you at it.
Power is a 10,000 mAh rechargeable pack charged over micro USB, which eufy rate at about 365 days at ten openings a day.
Deadbolt, not mortise
This is the American fitting: a round bore through the door, a bolt into the frame. It wants 35 to 55 mm thickness, a 60 or 70 mm backset and a 54 or 38 mm cross bore. If your door carries a euro cylinder instead, this will not go in and a cylinder or mortise lock is what you want.
Send us the measurements and we will settle it in one message. Once it is in there is no hub to buy, the Wi-Fi is in the lock. eufy publish the manual at eufy.com, and the rest of ours is in smart locks.

Questions
Will it fit my door?
This is a deadbolt, the American style fitting, not a European mortise. The door has to be 35 to 55 mm thick with a 60 or 70 mm backset and a round bore for the lock. If your door has a euro cylinder in the edge instead, this is the wrong shape and we will point you at a cylinder or mortise lock. Send us a photo of the existing lock on WhatsApp and we will tell you before you order.
Do I need a bridge or a HomeBase?
No. Wi-Fi is built into the lock itself, so it joins your router directly and works with the eufy Security app, Alexa and Google Assistant without another box. That is not true of some eufy cameras, so it is worth saying.
How do I charge it?
It has a 10,000 mAh rechargeable pack rather than dry cells, charged over micro USB. eufy rate it at about a year at ten openings a day. There are mechanical keys in the box for the day you forget.
How many people can use it?
Fifty fingerprints and a hundred access codes of four to eight characters, each managed separately in the app, so you can hand out a code and take it back without touching anybody else's.
Does it lock itself?
Yes. A sensor sees the door close and locks it behind you. That is the feature that actually changes anything, because it stops depending on somebody remembering.
