About this product
A TTLock hotel smart lock: the same slim mortise handle as the S811, running TTLock instead of Tuya. If you are locking one door in your own house, that difference does not matter. If you are running a guest house, a serviced apartment or a block of let rooms, it is the only thing that matters.
- Why TTLock rather than Tuya
- Running more than one door on a TTLock hotel smart lock
- Inside the panel
- The hardware, and the doors it fits
- For letting rooms, not for one front door
TTLock is built for handing out keys you did not have to be present to give. You generate a passcode or an eKey that works between Friday at two and Sunday at eleven and send it by message from wherever you are. It expires on its own. Nobody meets the guest with a key, nobody changes the code afterwards, and every entry is on the record.
It also does one-time codes for a cleaner or a plumber, custom codes for staff, and it can be run across many doors from one account, which is the reason hotels use it. Remote unlocking and live access records need a TTLock gateway, which is not included and is not the same box as a Tuya hub. Tell us if you need one and we will quote it.
Physically it is the S811: fingerprint in the handle, tempered glass touchscreen, doorbell, five ways in, 300 users, fingerprint matched in 0.6 seconds, USB Type-C emergency power. It fits doors 38 to 55 mm thick on a 5050 mortise, 22 x 160 mm, left or right handed.
Why TTLock rather than Tuya
Physically this is the S811. The difference is the firmware, and for one door in your own house it does not matter. For a guest house, a serviced apartment or a block of let rooms it is the only thing that matters, which is why this is sold as a TTLock hotel smart lock rather than as another mortise handle.
TTLock is built around handing out keys you did not have to be present to give. You generate a passcode or an eKey valid between Friday at two and Sunday at eleven, send it by message from wherever you are, and it expires on its own. Nobody meets the guest, nobody changes the code afterwards, and every entry is on the record.
Running more than one door on a TTLock hotel smart lock
It also issues one-time codes for a cleaner or a plumber and custom codes for staff, and a single TTLock account can run many doors, which is the reason hotels use it rather than a consumer app.
One thing to settle before ordering: remote unlocking and live access records need a TTLock gateway. It is not included and it is not the same box as a Tuya hub, so tell us if you need one and we will quote it with the lock.
Inside the panel
Fingerprint in the handle ring, tempered glass touchscreen keypad taking 6 to 8 digit codes, and a doorbell built in. Five ways in: the app, fingerprint, code, IC card and mechanical key. It holds 300 users, nine of them administrators, and matches a print in 0.6 seconds on a semiconductor sensor that reads at any angle.
The hardware, and the doors it fits
The panel is 260 x 65 mm on aluminium alloy and tempered glass. It takes doors 38 to 55 mm thick on a 5050 mortise at 22 x 160 mm, left or right handed, and works from -25 to 60 degrees C. Power is four AA alkaline cells with 5 V USB Type-C emergency power on the underside.
For letting rooms, not for one front door
If this is your own house, buy the Tuya S811 instead and save the trouble. TTLock earns its place when you are handing keys to people you will never meet: a guest house, serviced apartments, a block of let rooms.
Budget for the gateway. Remote unlocking and live records need a TTLock one, and it is not the same box as a Tuya hub, so tell us how many doors you are fitting and we will quote the whole thing together. More in smart locks, and TTLock document the app at ttlock.com.

Questions
What does TTLock give me that Tuya does not?
Keys with a clock on them. You generate a passcode or an eKey that works only between the hours you set, send it by message, and it expires by itself. That is how guest houses, serviced apartments and let rooms hand over a room without meeting anybody or changing the code afterwards. Tuya is the better choice for your own house, where the lock should sit in the same app as your lights and cameras.
Do I need a gateway?
For codes, fingerprints, cards and keys at the door, no. For unlocking remotely and seeing entries as they happen, TTLock needs its own gateway, which is not included and is not the same box as a Tuya hub. Tell us if you want one and we will quote it with the lock.
Can I run several doors from one account?
Yes. That is what the app is built for. Each door is added separately and you manage all of them, and all of their codes, from the same account, which is the reason it turns up in hotels and apartment blocks.
Will it fit my door?
The door needs to be 38 to 55 mm thick and take a 5050 mortise, 22 x 160 mm. Left or right handed is fine. Send us a photo of your door edge on WhatsApp and we will confirm before you order.
Is the hardware different from the ordinary S811?
No. Same panels, same mortise, same fingerprint reader, same fit. The firmware and the app are what change.
