Read this before ordering a Ring camera power adapter
Ring use different power connectors across their range, so check the port on the camera you actually own before you buy. This one ends in a USB connector for the camera. Getting it wrong is the commonest problem with power accessories, and it is a thirty second check against the back of the camera or its manual.
The short lead is the real constraint
The cable in a camera box gets you about a metre and a half from a socket, and a metre and a half from a socket is almost never where the camera should be. This adapter comes on a long lead, so the camera goes to the corner with the view and the socket stays where it is. That single fact decides whether a camera is useful or merely installed.
A flat cable disappears
The lead is flat rather than round, which is worth more than it sounds. It lies tight against a wall, tucks behind a picture frame or a skirting, and goes under a rug without a ridge that people trip on or notice. A round cable does none of those things and ends up taped along a wall.
Off the battery for good
A battery camera is a camera that stops recording at intervals to be charged, always at the wrong moment, and gets taken down and forgotten. On mains it simply runs. In a house with a reliable socket near the position you want, permanent power is the better arrangement.
