About this product
This mini pan tilt camera is the smallest one eufy puts a motor in. It stands about as tall as a credit card is long, so it disappears on a bookshelf or a kitchen counter, and it still turns a full 360° and tilts 100°, slightly further up and down than its full-size sibling. One of these covers a whole room from a corner shelf.
- Small enough to disappear
- What this mini pan tilt camera notices
- Privacy mode that actually moves the lens
- What the Mini gives up for its size
- Mini or full size
It records in 2K, and the on-device AI decides what is worth a notification: it can tell a person from general movement, and it reacts to sound as well, panning towards a noise it picks up. When you are home, Privacy Mode physically rotates the lens away from the room rather than just switching off the feed, which is a good deal more reassuring than a software toggle.
Recordings go to a microSD card in the camera, up to 128 GB, so there is no subscription needed and no base station to buy. It works with Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant on screen-equipped devices. It plugs into the mains and stays plugged in.
Worth knowing before you choose: the Mini trades some features for its size. It does not have the pet or baby-crying detection of the larger Pan & Tilt model, and it does not support Apple HomeKit.
Small enough to disappear
This mini pan tilt camera is the smallest one eufy puts a motor in. It stands about as tall as a credit card is long, so it sits on a bookshelf or a kitchen counter without announcing itself, and one of these covers a whole room from a corner shelf.
It still turns a full 360 degrees and tilts 100 degrees, slightly further up and down than its full-size sibling.
What this mini pan tilt camera notices
It records at 2K, 15 fps, and the on-device AI decides what is worth a notification: it tells a person from general movement, and it reacts to sound as well, panning towards a noise it picks up. You can set up to two activity zones so it ignores the parts of the room you do not care about.
Privacy mode that actually moves the lens
When you are home, Privacy Mode physically rotates the lens away from the room rather than switching off the feed in software. You can see across the room that it is pointing at the wall, which is a good deal more reassuring than trusting a toggle.
What the Mini gives up for its size
Two things, and they are worth knowing before you choose it over the full-size Pan and Tilt. It does not have pet or baby-crying detection, only human, motion and sound. And it does not support Apple HomeKit, though Alexa and the Google Assistant both work on screen-equipped devices.
Storage is a microSD card up to 128 GB, Class 10, not included, so there is no subscription and no base station. It runs on a 5V 1A micro-USB adapter and stays plugged in. Indoor only: 95 mm tall, 159 g, not weatherproof, encrypted with AES-128.
Mini or full size
If nobody in the house needs pet alerts or HomeKit, the Mini does the same job in less space for less money. If they do, the full-size Pan and Tilt is the one. eufy list this as the T8414 at eufy.com.

Questions
How is this different from the full-size Pan & Tilt model?
It is much smaller and tilts a little further, 100 degrees against 96. In exchange it drops pet detection and baby-crying detection, and it does not work with Apple HomeKit. If those matter to you, choose the larger model.
Is a memory card included?
No. The camera takes a microSD card up to 128 GB, Class 10, and you supply it. Without a card you can still watch the live view, but nothing is recorded.
Does it work with Apple HomeKit?
No. It works with Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant on devices that have a screen, but Apple HomeKit is not supported on this model.
Can I stop it watching while I am at home?
Yes. Privacy Mode turns the lens away from the room rather than simply switching the feed off, so you can see at a glance that it is not pointed at you.
Does it run on a battery, or on 5GHz Wi-Fi?
Neither. It stays plugged into the mains through the supplied micro-USB adapter, and it connects to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. It is an indoor camera and is not weatherproof.
