About this product
The eufyCam 2C Pro kit is a complete system in one box: two wire-free cameras and the HomeBase 2 they run on. No cabling to the cameras, no monthly fee, nothing else to buy.

- What the HomeBase 2 does
- Room to grow
- Pace out the distance first
- Storage limit
- 2C Pro or eufyCam 2
The 2C Pro is the sharper camera in the eufyCam 2 family. It records 2K across a 135° view, and it has a spotlight built in, which means night footage comes back in colour rather than infrared grey. On-device AI recognises people by body shape and face pattern, and you can draw your own activity zones so a busy road does not set it off all day. Two-way audio lets you speak through either camera.
Each camera is rated at about 180 days per charge and is IP67 rated for outdoor use. The HomeBase plugs into your router, holds 16 GB of recordings locally, and does the processing that lets the cameras sleep between events.
Room to grow: one HomeBase 2 handles up to 16 cameras and 16 sensors, so more views mean add-on cameras rather than a second system.
Worth checking before you mount them: eufy publishes a working range of roughly 6 to 9 m between each camera and the HomeBase.

What the HomeBase 2 does
It plugs into your router, holds 16 GB of recordings locally and does the processing that lets the cameras sleep between events. That is why each battery is rated at about 180 days rather than weeks.
Nothing goes to a cloud you pay for and there is no monthly fee.
Room to grow
One HomeBase 2 handles up to 16 cameras and 16 sensors. More views later means buying add-on cameras, not a second system, and the add-ons are considerably cheaper than another kit.
Pace out the distance first
The limit that catches people: eufy publish a working range of roughly 6 to 9 m between each camera and the HomeBase, through whatever walls are in between.
In a compound where the base sits indoors and the cameras go on a perimeter wall, walk that distance before ordering. If it is further than nine metres, a SoloCam that talks straight to your Wi-Fi is the better shape of product and we will say so.
Storage limit
The 16 GB on the HomeBase 2 is not expandable and there is no card slot. It keeps the recent footage and overwrites the older. Cameras are IP67.
2C Pro or eufyCam 2
Same idea, different trade. The eufyCam 2 kit runs a year per charge at 1080p in black and white at night. This one runs about half that at 2K in colour. eufy list this as the T8142 at eufy.com.

Questions
Do I need to buy anything else?
No. Both cameras and the HomeBase 2 they need are in this box, and there is no subscription. You supply a spare Ethernet port on your router for the HomeBase.
How far can the cameras be from the HomeBase?
eufy publishes a working range of roughly 6 to 9 metres. That is the figure people most often get caught by, so if the HomeBase sits indoors and a camera is going on a perimeter wall, pace out the distance before you mount anything.
Do they record in colour at night?
Yes. Each camera has a spotlight built in, so night footage comes back in colour rather than infrared grey. That is the main thing you gain over the standard eufyCam 2, along with 2K instead of 1080p.
How long does a charge last, and can I add more cameras?
About 180 days per camera. One HomeBase 2 handles up to 16 cameras and 16 sensors, so you extend the system with add-on cameras rather than buying a second kit.
Where is footage stored?
On the HomeBase, which holds 16 GB. Nothing goes to a paid cloud. Note the storage cannot be expanded and there is no memory card slot.
