Why a magnetic GPS tracker rather than a wired one

Nothing to fit and nothing to find. A wired tracker means an auto electrician, a morning off the road and a device spliced into the loom, where anyone who goes looking will eventually look. This one is held on by magnets strong enough to sit under a chassis, inside a wheel arch or in the frame of a container, and it can be moved to a different vehicle in ten seconds. Three ways to get a position

Call the tracker and it replies by SMS with a Google Maps link. Send it the command G123456# and it does the same. Or open the app, which also gives you the route history, a geofence you draw on the map with alerts when the vehicle enters or leaves it, an over speed alarm and a vibration alarm. Position comes from GPS with AGPS assistance, quoted at about 5 metres, and the case is rated IP58.

It needs a SIM card, and it is a 2G device. It will work on a 2G GSM SIM, or on a local 3G or 4G SIM that still has a 2G network behind it. Networks in different countries are retiring 2G at different times, so this is the one thing to check with your operator first rather than after the tracker is under the vehicle.
