375 mm Long handle for a main door
300 sets Fingerprints, codes and cards
6 ways in Including the Tuya app
Dummy password Bury the real code inside it
4 x AA With USB emergency power

About this product

A long handle smart lock for a main door. The escutcheon runs 375 mm, which is what a heavy steel or aluminium front door usually wants, and the fingerprint ring sits at the base of the handle where your hand already is.

It opens six ways: fingerprint, code, card, mechanical key, the Tuya app and an optional remote control. The reader is a semiconductor type, which reads the live ridge pattern rather than a picture of it.

It holds 300 sets of fingerprints, codes and cards between 9 administrators and 291 users, so it will run a block of flats or an office as easily as a house. A dummy password defeats anyone watching you type: bury the real code inside a string of random digits and it still opens.

Four AA cells power it, with a USB port underneath for emergency power and two mechanical keys in the box. It works from -25 to 70 degrees, which is more than a Dar es Salaam front door will ever ask of it.

What the long escutcheon is for

A long handle smart lock is the shape a heavy steel or aluminium front door usually wants. The escutcheon runs 375 x 75 mm, which spreads the fixing across a broader area of the door leaf than a short mortise panel can, and it covers the plate area of the lock it is replacing.

The fingerprint ring sits at the base of the handle, so the hand already on the door is the hand that opens it. The reader is a semiconductor type, which reads the live ridge pattern rather than an image of it.

Six ways in

Fingerprint, code, IC card, mechanical key, the Tuya app and an optional remote control. A dummy password defeats anyone watching you type: bury the real code inside a string of random digits and the door still opens, while the string itself is useless to them.

Capacity is 300 sets of fingerprints, codes and cards across 9 administrators and 291 users, so it will run a block of flats or an office as readily as a house.

Doors a long handle smart lock fits

It takes doors 38 to 100 mm thick, in wood, aluminium or steel, on main doors and room doors alike. The body is aluminium alloy and acrylic in black.

Power and alarms

Four AA alkaline cells run it, with a USB port on the underside for a power bank and two mechanical keys in the box. It carries multiple alarms and works from -25 to 70 degrees C.

Send us the thickness of your door and the mortise already cut into it before ordering, and we will confirm this is the right body for it rather than a short panel.

For a heavy front door

The 375 mm plate is the point. On a steel or aluminium main door it spreads the fixing across more of the leaf and covers the plate area of whatever is coming off, where a short mortise panel leaves you filling holes.

It takes 38 to 100 mm thickness across wood, aluminium and steel. Send us the door thickness and the mortise already cut and we will say whether this or a short panel is right. The rest are in smart locks; app notes at tuya.com.

Questions

Why the long handle?

A heavy steel or aluminium main door takes a long escutcheon, 375 mm here. It also gives you more to pull on. Measure your existing plate before ordering.

How many people can it hold?

300 sets in total across fingerprints, codes and cards, split as 9 administrators and 291 users.

What is a dummy password?

You type a string of random digits with your real code buried inside it. The lock finds the code and opens, and anyone watching learns nothing.

Does it come with a remote?

A remote control is listed as an option by the manufacturer, not as standard. Ask us before you order if you want one.

What happens if the batteries die?

A power bank on the USB port under the outside panel wakes it up. Two mechanical keys are also supplied.
