Govee RGBIC car lights need no wiring at all
These Govee RGBIC car lights run off the 12V cigarette lighter socket. No stripping wires, no tapping into the fuse box, no trim panels removed, no risk to a warranty.
The four strips are 30cm each and adhesive backed. They tuck under the dashboard and along the door sills where the wiring can be hidden behind existing trim. The whole job is an afternoon with a cloth and some patience, not a visit to an auto electrician.
RGBIC in a footwell
Each strip carries several colours at once and can run a gradient down its length, rather than glowing one flat colour.
In a car that reads as movement: colour drifting along the sill as you drive rather than a static block of red. It is the difference between the cheap strips sold at every roadside and something that looks fitted.
Thirty scenes, four music modes
The app carries 30 preset scene modes and a DIY editor for building your own, so you are not stuck with whatever the manufacturer thought looked good.
Four music modes run off the phone microphone, so the footwells move with whatever is playing. Sensitivity is adjustable, which matters in a car where road noise is competing with the music.
Bluetooth, because a car has no Wi-Fi
Control is over Bluetooth from the Govee Home app on your phone. There is no Wi-Fi radio in these and none is needed.
That does mean no voice control and no scheduling, which is the correct trade in a vehicle. The lights come on with the ignition and are set from your phone when parked.
A word about where you drive
Interior lighting rules vary between countries and between traffic authorities, and enforcement in Dar is not something we are going to guess at on a product page. Check what is acceptable where you drive before you fit anything bright in the driver's view.
Total strip length is 120cm across the four pieces, which is sized for footwells and sills rather than for lighting a whole cabin. If you want a strip for a room instead, the 5 metre RGBIC strip is the indoor version. Govee list the car range at govee.com.

Questions
Does anything need to be wired in?
No. The strips are adhesive backed and the cable ends in a 12 V plug for the cigarette lighter socket. Nothing in the car has to be cut or spliced.
Will it fit my car?
The four strips are 30 cm each and go wherever there is a flat, clean surface out of sight, usually under the dash and along the door sills. Fitting depends on your cabin rather than on the make of car.
Does it turn off with the engine?
It is powered from the cigarette lighter socket, so it follows whatever that socket does in your car. In most cars that means it cuts when the ignition is off.
Do the lights follow music?
Yes. There are four music modes driven by a microphone, and 30 preset scenes besides.
Does it need Wi-Fi?
No. It runs over Bluetooth from the Govee Home app on your phone, which is what you want in a car.
