Ceiling Mount for Dot 3rd Generation

An Echo Dot ceiling mount that gets the Dot off the surface and onto the structure. Which Dot an Echo Dot ceiling mount fits

The 3rd generation only. Not the 2nd, and not the 5th generation Dots we currently stock, which are a different shape. Identify your Dot before ordering. This bracket cradles a specific body with three arms and there is no adjusting it to another size.

Why put a speaker on the ceiling at all

Because a Dot on a bathroom shelf, a kitchen counter or a bedside table is one knock away from the floor, and because a Dot within reach is a Dot that gets moved, unplugged and eventually put in a drawer. On a bracket it is out of the way of cats, dogs, small children and anybody wiping a surface, and the only thing hanging is the cable.

No drill, unless you want one

It fixes with the self adhesive pad supplied, which is why most people choose the hole free type: no dust, no plugs, nothing to fill when it comes down. Screw holes are provided as well, and on a ceiling with a heavy Dot, screws are the more comfortable choice if you are willing to drill.

The open design is not decorative

Three arms cradle the Dot and hold it face out, so nothing covers the speaker and nothing sits over the microphones. Brackets that wrap a speaker muffle it and then people wonder why it stopped hearing them from across the room. Heavy duty steel with a smooth finish, in black, so it does not mark the Dot.

On a wall with the cable tidied away, the Echo Dot wall mount has a reel on the back. On a desk, the Echo Dot desk stand tilts it up at 105 degrees.
