How do I pay?
- Cash on delivery — Dar es Salaam only. Pay the rider when it reaches you. Outside Dar es Salaam we ask for payment before we send it.
- Lipa number. M-Pesa, Mixx by Yas (Tigo Pesa), Airtel Money or Halopesa. Message us on WhatsApp and we will send you the number.
- Card — being set up. We are putting card payments in place now, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Until that is live, please use cash on delivery or a Lipa number.

About this product
A smoke alarm that tells your phone. It joins 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi directly, with no base station and no hub, and sends a notification the moment it detects smoke, whether you are downstairs or out of the country.
It also tells you the dull things that matter: a fault, or a battery getting low. A smoke alarm that has quietly died is worse than no alarm at all, because you think you are covered.
The sensor is photoelectric with a ten year life, the type that catches slow smouldering fires. The alarm and the app both work; the app does not replace the noise.
The device can be shared with up to 12 accounts in the X-Sense Home Security app, so a landlord, a caretaker and a tenant can all be alerted. There is no subscription; the notifications are free.

Do I need a hub or a base station?
No. It joins your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi on its own.
Is there a monthly fee for the alerts?
No. The app and the notifications are free.
Will it still sound if the internet is down?
Yes. The alarm is local and does not depend on the network. Only the phone notification does.
Can more than one person get the alerts?
Yes. The device can be shared with up to 12 X-Sense accounts and each of them is notified.
How is this different from the interlinked one?
This one talks to your phone over Wi-Fi. The interlinked one talks to the other alarms in the house over its own radio. If you want both behaviours, buy both types.
