How do I pay?
- Cash on delivery — Dar es Salaam only. Pay the rider when it reaches you. Outside Dar es Salaam we ask for payment before we send it.
- Lipa number. M-Pesa, Mixx by Yas (Tigo Pesa), Airtel Money or Halopesa. Message us on WhatsApp and we will send you the number.

About this product
A door and window sensor that joins your Wi-Fi directly. No hub, no bridge, no gateway. Two parts stick on, the sensor on the frame and the magnet on the leaf, and the moment they separate your phone is told.
It does more than open and closed. There is a lux sensor for light level, tilt detection and vibration detection, and a temperature reading from -10 to 50 degrees. Tilt is what tells you a window has been swung rather than simply unlatched. Vibration is what tells you somebody is working on it.
Because it is a Shelly it talks to other Shelly devices on the local network, over MQTT or plain HTTP, without going through anybody's cloud. It also answers to Alexa and Google Assistant.
Batteries are not included. It takes two CR123A lithium cells and Shelly quote 18 months on a set.

Questions
Do I need a hub?
No. It joins your Wi-Fi directly, which is the main reason to choose a Shelly sensor over a Zigbee or Z-Wave one.
Are the batteries included?
No. It takes two CR123A lithium cells. Do not use rechargeables, Shelly say so specifically.
What is the tilt sensor for?
A window that is swung open rather than slid. The magnet may still be near the sensor, but the tilt reading shows the leaf has moved.
Will it work if the internet goes down?
Local actions to other Shelly devices and over MQTT keep working on your own network. Only the phone notification from outside the house needs the internet.
How far from the router can it be?
Shelly quote up to 30 metres indoors and 50 metres outdoors. Walls and metal cut that down, so test the spot before you fix it.
