About this product
A micro SD card 32GB for local camera storage, or more room on a phone. SanDisk Ultra. Drop it into a security camera and the camera records to the card, which means footage keeps saving whether or not the internet is up, and there is nothing to pay monthly.

What a micro SD card 32GB actually buys you in a camera
Recording that does not depend on anybody else. The camera writes to the card, so footage keeps saving when the internet is down, when the router is rebooting, and when a cloud subscription has quietly lapsed. There is nothing to pay monthly and nothing to cancel. On a connection that drops as often as most here do, local recording is not a fallback, it is the primary.
32 GB is a microSDHC card, and that matters
This is the one size that fits everything. Cameras and older devices that will only take microSDHC top out at 32 GB, and a 64 or 128 GB card in one of those either will not be seen at all or has to be reformatted in a way the camera cannot do. If you are unsure what your camera accepts, or the manual is long gone, 32 GB is the safe answer.
The speed classes, briefly
Class 10 and UHS Speed Class U1 describe the sustained write speed, and video is the demanding case: a camera writes continuously and a card that cannot keep up drops frames rather than slowing down. The A1 rating is a different measure, for how quickly apps load if you put the card in a phone or tablet instead.
It survives the heat
Operating range is -25 to 85 degrees Celsius and storage range is -40 to 85. A camera in direct sun on an outside wall, or in a car, is well inside that. Heat is the commonest cause of cards failing early, and this is a card rated for it.
One thing to do first
Format the card in the camera before first use. It takes thirty seconds, it is in the camera settings, and it prevents most of the not recognised problems people have afterwards.
For a longer history before the recording loops over, the 64 GB and 128 GB cards hold correspondingly more, if your camera supports microSDXC. The SD Association standards are explained on Wikipedia.

Questions
Will it work in my security camera?
Yes, in any camera that takes a microSD card of this capacity. Format it in the camera before first use.
Do I still need a cloud subscription?
Not for local recording. The camera writes to the card, so footage is saved even when the internet drops.
Can I use it in a phone?
Yes. It is A1 rated, which is the class for running and loading apps from the card.
How long will it record for?
That depends on the camera resolution and whether it records all the time or only on motion. Most cameras loop, overwriting the oldest footage when the card is full.
Is an adapter included?
It is the microSD card. If you need to read it in a laptop, use a card reader or an SD adapter.
