The Aeotec Door Window Sensor 7 is a compact contact sensor designed to track whether doors and windows are open or closed. One part attaches to the moving door or window and the other mounts to the frame. When separated, the sensor signals your automation system immediately, enabling instant alerts or automated routines throughout your home.
Z-Wave 700 Series Performance and Security
Equipped with Z-Wave Plus V2 and built on the Z-Wave 700 series platform, this sensor delivers efficient wireless communication and extended battery life. S2 wireless encryption secures device communications, while SmartStart simplifies setup by letting you pair the device quickly using your compatible hub.
Tamper Protection Built In
The sensor features integrated tamper detection. If the sensor is removed from its surface or if the housing is opened, an alert is reported directly to your smart home controller, keeping you informed of any interference.
Installation and Requirements
Installation requires no permanent alterations, offering a choice between included double-sided tape and mounting screws. Power is supplied by a single 3V CR14250 lithium battery, providing up to 3 years of service. A compatible Z-Wave hub or controller is required to receive data and manage automations.
