A HomeBase, a keypad, a motion sensor and two entry sensors. The HomeBase is both the brain and the siren, so there is no separate sounder to site and wire. The entry sensors go on the two doors you care about most. The motion sensor watches a room across 100 degrees. That is a genuinely complete starting system rather than a taster that needs three more purchases before it does anything.

The keypad matters more than it looks on the box

Everything in this kit can be armed and disarmed from the app, from anywhere. The keypad is what makes it usable by everyone else: a house helper, a relative staying, a teenager coming in late, none of whom should need your phone or your account to get through the front door without setting off a siren. Alarms fail on human factors far more often than on technical ones.

No monthly fee

Bought once, and the app is free. That is worth stating plainly because a good deal of the connected alarm market is built the other way round: a cheap box and a subscription that never ends, without which the notifications stop. Check that before comparing prices with anything else.

With the system armed, a door opening or the motion sensor triggering sounds the base and pushes a notification to your phone. The HomeBase is mains powered; the sensors and the keypad run on batteries, and everything mounts with the included adhesive pads and brackets.
