How a Zigbee 4 button scene switch reaches twelve scenes
Each of the four buttons reads three different presses: a single, a double and a hold. Four times three is twelve separate instructions to your Tuya system. In practice a household learns four of them and the rest sit in reserve, but the ones you learn can be the important four rather than a compromise, because you are not forced to spend a button on something you rarely use.

The manufacturer lists this switch as not working with Alexa, Google Home, Home Assistant, Hubitat or Siri. The scenes live in the Smart Life app and are fired from the buttons, and that is the whole of it. We are telling you plainly because it is the sort of limitation that only surfaces after the box is open, and if voice control of these scenes matters to you, this is the wrong product.
It has no relay in it
It switches nothing by itself. It is a controller that tells other Tuya devices what to do, so it needs something on the other end doing the actual switching. Bought alone, with nothing else on the system, it will sit on the wall doing nothing. Plan the pair, not the button.
Where it goes
Anywhere, because there is no wiring. Tape on glass, tile or plaster; magnetic back so it lifts off and works as a handheld; 13 mm thick, so it does not stand off the wall. About 730 days on a coin cell, which is not included.
What to pair it with
A Tuya Zigbee hub, not included: the Tuya Zigbee gateway or the version with an IR blaster. Then whatever does the switching: a Zigbee relay behind a light, or a Zigbee touch switch on the circuit.

Does it switch the lights itself?
No. It has no relay. It tells other devices in your Tuya system what to do, so you need those devices and a hub first.
How do four buttons give twelve scenes?
Each button understands a single press, a double press and a hold, and each of those can run a different scene.
Do I have to wire it in?
No, and that is the point. It tapes to the wall wherever a switch should have been, including on glass or tile.
Is the battery included?
No. It takes a coin cell and runs about 730 days on one.
Do I need a hub?
Yes, a Tuya Zigbee hub, and it is not in the box. We sell them.
