About this product
A WiFi touch switch fan controller, in the same tempered glass panel as our touch light switches. It replaces the fan switch on the wall and puts the fan on your phone, with speed steps rather than a single on and off.

Why a WiFi touch switch fan controller is not a relay
A relay gives a fan on and off. That is fine for a light and wrong for a fan, because a ceiling fan on full all afternoon is not what anybody wants and switching it off entirely is not either. This controller gives you the speed steps, on the panel and in the app, so the fan runs at the speed the room needs rather than the only speed a relay can offer.
The schedule that people actually set
Run through the hot part of the afternoon, stop itself at night. That single schedule is the reason most of these get bought, and it saves a fan running until somebody remembers it at midnight. It is set once in the Smart Life app and then forgotten about, which is the correct amount of attention to pay a fan.
Better still, drive it from a temperature
Put the controller in a scene with a temperature sensor and the fan starts when the room passes a level you choose, rather than at a time you guessed. A sensor in the room the fan is in beats a timer in every month of the year here, and the two together cost very little more than the controller alone.
Tell us the fan before you order
Fan loads are not lighting loads, and a motor draws far more starting than running. We would rather check the controller against your actual fan than have you find out afterwards. Send us the make and the plate rating and we will confirm it suits.
The wiring
It needs a neutral wire at the switch box and it is wired to mains, so a licensed electrician fits it. As with all the switches in this range, older wiring in this city often brings only the live and the switched live to the plate, so have it opened and checked first.
It joins Wi-Fi directly through the Smart Life app with no hub, and answers Alexa and Google Assistant. For the lighting in the same room, the matching glass is the 2 gang touch switch. To drive it from a reading, add a temperature and humidity sensor. The app is built on Tuya, at tuya.com.
