About this product
A 6m smart curtain track, sold as the whole system: aluminium track, motor, runners and a handheld remote. It opens on a schedule in the morning, closes at dusk, and takes orders from your phone anywhere you happen to be, or from Alexa and Google Home. The Wi-Fi radio sits inside the motor, so there is no hub or bridge to buy alongside it.
- The windows a 6m smart curtain track is bought for
- Corners, bays and runs that do not go straight
- Weight, brackets and keeping a long run straight
- Six metres, or a tier either side
The feature that decides whether a household keeps using it is the least technical one. Pull the curtain by hand and the motor takes over and finishes the run. Nobody has to hunt for a phone to open a curtain, and visitors work it out without being told.
The length works one way only, and it catches people out. This is an adjustable aluminium system, not a fixed bar, and the drive belt is cut to your measurement on site. Coming down is easy. Going up is impossible: a run wider than the track you bought stays uncovered, and there is no extension piece. So measure the full travel, stack-back included, and take the tier above the number rather than the one below it. This page is the 6 metre tier.
Single opening or centre opening is a decision made on fitting day, not at checkout, so ordering does not lock you into either. On a run this long most people go centre opening, because pulling six metres of curtain to one end leaves a stack you cannot ignore.
Two things to have ready. The motor runs off an ordinary socket, so there must be a power point at or near one end of the track, and adding one is an electrician job to book before the fitter arrives. And when the power drops, the curtains still pull by hand, which in Dar is not a small detail.
The windows a 6m smart curtain track is bought for
Six metres is the tier people land on when one room has more glass than a single window. A long sitting room wall, a run of two or three windows that a client wants dressed as one, a sliding door plus the panel beside it. It is also the size to take when a four metre measurement comes out at four and a half and there is nowhere to hide the difference.
Measure the travel rather than the glass, and add the stack: a six metre run carries a lot of fabric, and that fabric has to bunch somewhere at the end.
Corners, bays and runs that do not go straight
A long wall is often not a flat one. Corner pieces let the track turn, so a bay window or an L-shaped run is possible, but they are a separate item and they change how the belt is measured.
Tell us at the time of ordering if your window turns a corner. It is the one detail that cannot be sorted out on fitting day with what is in the box.
Weight, brackets and keeping a long run straight
The longer the track, the more brackets it needs, and heavy lined curtains on a six metre run want them closer together than light voile does. The kit ships with brackets for ceiling and wall fixing; on a run this length, plan on fixing every metre rather than spacing them out.
The motor has overload protection, so if a runner jams or a child hangs off the curtain it stops instead of forcing through.
Six metres, or a tier either side
If your measurement is comfortably under four metres you are paying for track you will trim off, and the 4 metre version is the same system for less. If the wall is a full glass frontage, go to the 8 metre track rather than joining two.
Send us the measurement and we will confirm the tier before you pay. The Smart Life app that drives it is on Google Play.

Questions
How do I know which length to buy?
Measure the full width you want the curtains to travel, including how far they should overlap past the window on each side, then take the next tier up. The track adjusts down on site and the belt is trimmed during the fit, so a little spare is fine. What it cannot do is stretch, so a track shorter than your window is money wasted. Send us the measurement on WhatsApp and we will tell you which one to take.
Can it open from the middle?
Yes. It can be set up as a single opening, one curtain pulling to one side, or as a pair that parts in the middle. That is decided during installation rather than at the time of ordering, so you are not committing to one now.
Do I need a hub?
No. The Wi-Fi is inside the motor, so it joins your network directly. The app, the schedules, Alexa and Google all work with nothing else bought. The remote is in the box too, for anyone in the house who is not going to use a phone.
What happens when the power goes off?
You pull the curtains by hand, as normal. Nothing locks and nothing has to be released first. When the power comes back the motor picks up where it was.
What about a bay window or a curved run?
It handles both, but the corner pieces are a separate item from the track itself. Tell us the shape of your window and how many corners it turns and we will quote the whole thing rather than leave you a piece short on fitting day.
Anything else? Ask us on WhatsApp and we will tell you straight.
