About this product
The Aeotec NanoMote Quad is a four-button wireless Z-Wave Plus scene remote designed for portable or wall-placed control of connected appliances, lighting, and automation routines. Measuring 50 x 50 x 14.5 mm and weighing 25 g, it fits comfortably into a pocket, onto a tabletop, or on a keychain using its included loop attachment. It communicates directly with a compatible Z-Wave gateway to execute pre-configured scenes across single devices or whole-home groupings.
Button Functions and Scenes
Each of the four physical buttons recognizes both a momentary tap and a press-and-hold action, outputting up to eight distinct scene triggers to your hub. When paired with compatible platforms such as Autopilot, the remote supports up to 12 scene configurations. It can also manage direct Group Association commands to control linked Z-Wave devices without gateway delay. For unintended presses, an integrated PIN lock sequence lets you disable and re-enable button input directly on the device.
Wireless Range and Security
Built with Z-Wave Plus and the Z-Wave S2 framework, the remote operates with three layers of encryption to prevent eavesdropping and unauthorized access. It operates at an indoor range of up to 30 metres (98 feet) and an outdoor line-of-sight range of up to 120 metres (394 feet). Signals can route across intermediary mains-powered Z-Wave nodes to extend connection back to the hub.
Rechargeable Battery and Ingress Protection
Power is provided by a user-replaceable, rechargeable LIR2450 3.6V coin-cell battery. It recharges in approximately 5 hours via a built-in Micro USB port accepting standard 5V DC power at up to 1A. A full charge lasts up to 3 to 6 months depending on usage. The housing is certified to the IEC IP54 standard, shielding internal circuitry against dust deposits and splashing water.
System Requirements
The NanoMote Quad requires a compatible Z-Wave gateway or hub for initial setup and automation triggers (available separately). A standard Micro USB cable and 5V USB charger are required for recharging.
