Fibaro The Button

One big, obvious, satisfying button. Fibaro The Button does whatever your Z-Wave hub is told to do with it, and it reads one, two, three, four and five clicks and a hold, so six different jobs sit under the same dome.

Six jobs under one dome on Fibaro The Button

It reads one, two, three, four and five clicks and a hold. Six separate instructions, all under the same satisfying dome, and the hub decides what each of them does. In practice most people use three: one click for the obvious thing, two clicks for the second most obvious, and a hold for everything off. The other three sit there for the day you want them.

The point is that anybody can use it

This is the device you fit for the people who will never open the app. A grandparent, a child, a house helper, a guest. There is nothing to learn, nothing to unlock and nothing to get wrong: you press the big button and the room does what it always does. A smart home that only works for the person who set it up is a smart home that causes arguments.

No wiring, so it goes anywhere

Bedside table for a goodnight scene. By the front door for the gate. On a desk for the office lights. In a drawer in the kitchen, on a shelf in the workshop, or screwed down somewhere it will not wander. It is 46 mm across and 34 mm tall, so it reads as an object rather than as equipment.

Battery and colours

An ER14250 half AA 3.6 V cell, which Fibaro rate at two years at ten presses a day. Fibaro make it in white, red, yellow, black, blue, brown, green and orange; ask us which we are holding before you order, because we do not stock all eight at once.

What it needs

A Z-Wave controller, not included. It runs on the 500 series chip and works with the three controllers we stock: the Fibaro Home Center Lite, the Fibaro Home Center 2 and the Homey Pro.
